Highway Claims

This highway claims section is split into a number of guides dealing with various potential scenarios where injury is sustained as a result of the use of the road as opposed to another road user.  If the accident was caused by the state of the road generally then you should be considering a claim against the highway authority.  However, those types of claims can be very difficult to win even if the road was in a poor condition.  It is therefore important to consider whether there may be a claim against someone else.

It is important to note that we are discussing road traffic accidents here.  This set of guides is  therefore directed at accidents involving vehicles and pedestrians on or near the road.  While the information may be of general application it is not directed at claims by pedestrians for slipping or tripping on the pavement or path.
