This is the government agency that previously calculated, arranged and enforced child maintenance payments. The CSA stopped taking new applications in November 2013. Since then, a new government agency, the Child Maintenance Service has been in place, who provide a similar service to the CSA, the one main difference is that they make charges for their services. Between 2014 and 2017, the CSA is contacting their existing clients to tell them that their current child maintenance arrangements will be coming to an end and then supporting them to put new arrangements in place.
